Scam Alert: Protect Yourself Against Fraudulent Phone Calls
Citizens National Bank (CNB) has recently identified a rise in fraudulent phone calls where scammers disguise the caller ID to appear to be coming from our client support number. Please be aware that CNB will never call to request sensitive information such as your password, online banking credentials, one-time verification codes, card number, card expiration date, the three-digit number printed on the back of your card, or to ask for access to your phone or computer. If you receive a call that seems suspicious – even if it looks like it’s from CNB – end the call immediately. To stay safe, contact us directly by using the phone number printed on the back of your debit card or the official contact number listed on our website at CNBTN.com.
At CNB, your financial security is our top priority and we want to ensure you have the information you need to protect yourself. If you suspect you’ve been scammed, immediately cut off communication. If you’ve shared any bank account details or personal information, promptly contact CNB to protect and secure your financial accounts. You may also report the incident to the Federal Trade Commission and your local law enforcement agency.
Scammers are constantly developing new tactics. Follow CNB’s blog and social media channels for the latest updates on security threats and tips to keep your financial information safe.
